Gary says “This was such a fun piece to draw! My first
venture with Meerkats and I wanted it to be something special. I decided each
little character should be doing something different, to create a lively feel,
but I wanted to avoid it looking too staged. Composition-wise, this was my most
adventurous and intricate in a long time. Family is one of my favourite
drawings.
