One of the most extraordinary
features of Gary’s limited edition print sales has been the early emergence of
a secondary market in his prints. This has been due to the sell-out success of
his editions, thereby creating a demand beyond the limited supply. Out of the
121 limited editions (plus canvas editions) only nine are still available from
Gary at the published price from our shop. The rest have sold out.
Virtually all of his editions have
at least doubled in value but after a few years a considerable number have reached extremely
high prices. The list below highlights the known value of some of his earlier
editions.

To some extent the
widespread use of the internet in recent years has made it easier for
collectors to find rare prints, thereby slightly reducing some prices. But
nonetheless, Gary’s prints still maintain high market value, sometimes
increasing in value many times their initial published price within a few
years.
Gary has never personally
dabbled in the secondary market because he believes that as the publisher and
artist he must sell at the published price. He does hold back a handful of most
editions however, for auction or sale for charities.
