Gary originally drew this gentle scene of a gerenuk in 1981. Recently he decided to update it with new embellishments to see how he could improve upon it. Many days and loads of 'lead' later, he finished and was delighted with the many refinements made. It became a far more subtle, detailed and delicate drawing, hence the title.Gary and Dave witnessed scenes like this in both Kenya and Tanzania, watching as gerenuks skillfully reached up on tiptoe for the succulent shoots of the acacia bush. This elegant antelope is also known as the giraffe gazelle and you can see why.The edition size will depend on pre-orders, but Gary anticipates it 'll be around 100 copies and 10 artist proofs Worldwide.
