The drawing of a Nile Crocodile was started in 1999 and published as "Nile Crocodile" in 2000. Gary has spent much more time finishing the drawing since, and although part of it is still "unfinished" it is now as he wants it to finally be. The picture has evolved, hence its name, and the original sold at Gary's Heart & Soul Exhibition in April 2016 for £18,500. He has published it to coincide with this show in central London.

Evolution on canvas is limited to only 50 copies worldwide with 5 Artist Proofs. The canvas gives the optimum reproduction of the original. The prints are by the Giclee process, a method commonly used for museums and art galleries because of its high quality and light fast inks. The print is mounted and stretched around a wooden frame sourced from sustainable Swedish forests. Gary then quality checks each print which is individually numbered by hand and personally signed by the artist.
