MY NEXT TWO DRAWINGS
Now it's down to concentrating on my next solo show, less than a year away. I have just spent a few days collecting all my reference material together for my next two drawing projects. The first is two baby African elephants playing together. Most of the reference photos were taken by me last year during our month long trip to Tanzania, plus a few extra ones from my 2002 Kenya safari to revisit Daphne Sheldrick's elephant orphanage in Nairobi and Tsavo National Park where the older rehabilitated orphans are reintroduced into the wild.
The other picture is the fourth and final piece of my cat portrait series (the other three are displayed on my homepage). It will be of a snow leopard looking head on. I'll be sketching out both drawings and then fleshing out the one that excites me the most.
The second will follow on later in the year. Both originals will be auctioned at the private view of my April 2016 show along with 14-18 other drawings. Limited edition prints will be published from both. Off to draw so bye for now...
